'Boats on a River' is an unflinching look into the world of sex-trafficking in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, through the eyes of Western aid workers at a rescue shelter. Poignant, smart and at times humorous, the play renders these characters fully human as they attempt to help the young girls whose innocence has been sold to paying customers.
