The blues is coming to Boston on Saturday, March 24,2007 at Copperfields/The Down Under, 98 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02108, (617) 247-8605. Four of Boston's best blues acts will be wailin' the blues all night long.
At 9:15pm is Above Ground.
Stingy Brimm takes the stage at 10:15pm. Stingy Brimm plays an engaging brand of American roots, blues and world-influenced originals as well as a generous helping of "unplugged" classic blues.
At 11:15pm, Robin O'Herin takes the stage. 2006 Memphis Blues Challenge Finalist and Berkshire-based Robin O'Herin plays both original and traditional American music using bottleneck and fingerstyle guitar and mountain dulcimer. Robin specializes in historically rich, often interactive concerts that include original and traditional American music, for schools, libraries and small listening rooms. Her concerts are warm, affirming experiences she shares with the audience. She is currently working on two new CD projects: a country blues/gospel CD and an original blues CD.
Finally, B Street Blues, your hosts for the evening, will take center stage at 12:15am. B Street Blues was voted one of the best blues bands in Boston at the 2005 Boston Blues Challenge. Songs from their CD "Live" have been played all over the world; the first track from the CD has made it to the indie top 10 in Australia multiple times.
There is plenty of world class blues that will be served up at Copperfields by some of the finest blues craftsmen in the Boston area. Cover charge is a reasonable $5 for an evening full of class blues.
