Blogging/Podcasting as a Business - Meetup January 13, 2010

The first of what might become a series of meetups for those interested in the business side of blogging, podcasting, and other new media ventures. Aaron Hockley and Brandie Kajino are looking to share ideas, tips, and have a discussion with others who are attempting to monetize their social media businesses.

This group is for: Bloggers, Solo-prenuers, Small or Home Office Businesses who use blogging, online media and/or podcasting as a means of revenue or promoting business services or products.

Topics might include: Affiliate marketing, selling downloadable (e-books, etc.) products, blog sponsorship & advertising, products & services, business value of blogging & podcasting.

This group is NOT for: Design & mechanics of setting up a blog or podcast. Basic social media how-to (Twitter, Facebook, etc). Attempting to market/sell your services or products to other group members.

We're looking for those who are serious about treating their blog, podcast, and social media ventures as a for-profit business. Let's chat, share, and grow together.
