BlackBox is seeking new volunteers of all ages & backgrounds to join
our thriving radio collective. NO PREVIOUS RADIO EXPERIENCE IS
NECESSARY! We are happy to share with you all the skills you need to
get started & get on the air!

Our radio show is produced by a team of volunteers like you, and there
are many ways to get involved. These roles include:
-writing headlines
-producing news segments
-engineering
-hosting the show/reading headlines

BlackBox Radio is a weekly independent radio news show that airs on
88.3FM WCBN. We cover issues from the local to the international and
everything in between. We aim to create radical, accurate and
passionate tellings of truth.

As a journalist for BlackBox Radio, you will be part of a wider
movement that is
committed to using media production and distribution as tools for
promoting social, economic and environmental justice worldwide.
BlackBox aims to support movements for justice by giving voice to those
excluded and misrepresented by the dominant media. We aim to develop
connections between local organizations and activists and to promote
communication and coordination between local, national, and global
social justice movements.
