For 30 years the Williamsburg Regional Library has co-sponsored Black History Month programs with local community groups. These 1-hour long programs celebrate African-American Heritage in music, dance and the creative arts. Participants can meet the performers and enjoy refreshments following the presentation. The programs begin at 3 p.m. each Sunday in February at the Williamsburg Library Theatre. They are free and do not require reservations. February 4 - Kia Brooks - Acoustic Saxophonist , co-sponsored by LeCercle Charmant, Business and Professional Women, Williamsburg Men Club, NAACP.

February 11 - The St. John Baptist Church Youth and Teen Choir under the direction of Mr. Everett Collins in cooperation with the First Baptist Church Youth Choir under the direction of Mr. Reginald Fox. Sponsor: The Historic First Baptist Church located on Scotland Street, Williamsburg.

February 18 - The Union Prospect Church Chorus under the direction of Mr. Pervis O. Blake. Sponsors: Union Baptist Church (Highland Park)
and the Virginia State University Alumni Association (Williamsburg Chapter)

February 25 - Mrs. Selma Stewart, Genealogist. Sponsors: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The Greater Williamsburg Women's Association.
