50 W 17th St
New York, New York 10011

A fundraiser in New York City for Birch Family Camp (part of Camp Heartland) on Saturday, Oct. 6th from 7 - 10 pm at SplashBar NY on 17th St. between 5th and 6th Avenues.

A $10.00 donation is suggested at the door, and 100% of door proceeds benefit the camp.
Birch Family Camp is the oldest and largest family camp in the United States, serving families affected by the HIV virus since 1989.

Because many of these families live in isolation and secrecy, camp allows them to experience a week of relative safety, camaraderie, and respite. It may be the only place where they are able to be open about their illness... and sometimes the only place they will meet other families in a similar situation. Most of our families come from New York City, where they may experience confounding problems like poverty, substance abuse, and violence, not to mention the daily prejudices associated with HIV infection. Camp truly is their safe haven.
