Having sold over 30 million records so far, Ocean is the biggest black recording star Britain has ever produced. He has become a worldwide star, perhaps accelerated by his performance in the American leg of Live Aid in 1985 which is estimated to have reached a global audience of 1.9 billion.

His numerous UK and US hit singles include Love on Delivery, Stop Me, Red Light Spells Danger, Caribbean Queen for which he won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal, Loverboy and Suddenly, which became the first of Ocean’s killer ballads, followed by When the Going gets Tough (the tough gets going), There’ll be Sad Songs (to make you cry) and the now iconic Get Outta my Dreams, Get into my Car.
