Big Band Jazz Ensemble - Winter Session December 7, 2010

Experience the American Big Band Jazz tradition through the contributions of Jewish composers, arrangers and musicians. Perform the music of Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Ira and George Gershwin, Artie Shaw, Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and more. Participants must read music and be proficient on their instrument.

Jeff Sanford plays the sax, flute and clarinet and his music encompasses different jazz styles, classical, pop and world music. He has performed with Regina Carter, Stan Getz, Michael Feinstein, the San Francisco Symphony and others. For more about Jeff Sanford, visit www.sanforjazz.com.
