Photoink presents Between Me & I, an exhibition of photographs by Swapan Parekh. Widely acclaimed for bringing the documentary aesthetic to advertising photography, his personal works remain rooted in the terrain of black-and-white photography, little of which has been seen in India. With Between Me and I, Parekh’s private diaries embrace colour, and he wanders around the theatre of his own life taking pictures, rather than making them. The seemingly ordinary moments come alive creating their own language using a private alphabet that we slowly begin to recognize for its coherence.
