INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER GREG PALAST will speak in Washington DC, Thursday May 3rd at 6:30 PM along with Code Pink's Medea Benjamin and Radio Talk Show Host Dr. Wilmer Leon at a benefit event for WPFW Pacifica Radio.

Greg Palast is best known for breaking the story that over 90,000 voters were removed from the voter rolls in 2000 in Florida by then Secretary of State Katherine Harris, wrongfully accused of being felons.

Palast continues to be on the case. Working for BBC Newsnight London, he obtained 500 of the "missing" emails from the RNC sought in the investigation of the the firing of 8 federal prosecutors.

Most important, the emails include cold evidence of a scheme to wrongly remove voters from voter rolls in the 2004 election -- specifically Black soldiers.

Notably, the scheme, according to the emails, was directed by Karl Rove's assistant, Tim Griffin -- appointed US Attorney for Arkansas after Rove demanded Gonzales removal of the prior US Attorney, Bud Cummins.

Furthermore, Palast has exclusive information on the firing of US prosecutor David Iglesias.

Palast has included some of this information in the latest edition of his book, "Armed Madhouse."

In one of the emails subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee (dated February 7, 2007), Rove's man Griffin, although a US Attorney, wrongly used his George Bush campaign email to blast Palast and "Armed Madhouse" -- attaching an excerpt of the book -- and gloating that "no [US] national media picked up" the BBC story.
