Bobby Troilo, a Senior at Upper Moreland High School, was a passenger in a car that was involved in a tragic automobile accident on September 17, 2009. Bobby suffered numerous severe injuries and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Bobby was in the intensive care unit at Abington Memorial Hospital for 4 1/2 days and was released from the hospital after spending over one week. Bobby and his family live in Willow Grove, PA. Bobby is currently being tutored as he is due to graduate in June. Bobby's injuries include a fractured vertebrae in his neck (C-2) and a shattered left arm. Bobby was wearing a halo for three months, which had to be removed due to a bacterial infection that developed and was attacking any foreign objects in his body (i.e. the plate, screws and pins). Now he is wearing a fitted neck and back brace. Bobby is scheduled for his fourth surgery on his arm on January 14th.
