Benefit Concert for 'Malcolm X' Opera January 12, 2007

Oakland Opera will be reviving the opera “X, the Life and Times of Malcolm X” in 2007 and is holding a benefit concert to raise funds to bring this brilliant production back to the East Bay. The concert will be held in the spirit and honor of the inauguration of Oakland's new Mayor, Ron Dellums.

Please join us in this entertaining evening of song in the intimate setting of the Oakland Metro Operahouse. Music from contemporary and traditional operas will be presented followed by a reception where you can meet the artists. An enlightening, fun, and educational event.
