Ben Jansson and his quartet featuring pianist Glenn Tucker, bassist Kurt Krahnke and drummer Sean Dobbins will play an energized set of jazz devoted to the jazz tenor saxophone greats. This concert will feature songs from throughout jazz history, beginning with those made famous by Lester Young and Coleman Hawkins and continuing through the tenor saxophone legacy to cover songs played and made famous by Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Sonny Stitt, Stan Getz and John Coltrane.

Michigan based saxophonist Ben Jansson leads his own quartet regularly at clubs in Detroit and throughout the Midwest and Canada. Regular hometown gigs include Bakers Keyboard Lounge, Cliff Bells in Detroit and Murphy's Place in Toledo.
