Wellesley, Massachusetts 02481

An ensemble of singers and instrumentalists, Wellesley College’s Collegium Musicum specializes in the performance of Western music from the Middle Ages to the early 19th century. The spring program explores the soundscape of the streets of London at the time of diarist and Parliament member Samuel Pepys. Offerings will include change ringing on the college’s carillon, street cries, bird song and songs about birds, country dances (both played and danced), broadside ballad tunes (both sly and earnest) and readings from Pepys’s diary.
