They make some of the most potent and popular Cajun music on the planet, driven by bandleader Michael Doucet’s spellbinding fiddle playing and soulful vocals. BeauSoleil’s distinctive performances of traditional and original music rooted in the folk tunes of the creole and Cajun people is the distillation of the spirits of New Orleans jazz, blues, swamp pop, Zydeco, country and bluegrass.

Allen Toussaint says BeauSoleil make ‘music that’s honest to the bone!’ They are one of a few groups performing traditional Louisiana music to win a Grammy Award, have made numerous TV and film soundtrack appearances, as well as captivating listeners from the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans, to Carnegie Hall, and at Meltdown festival 2010 at the invitation of Richard Thompson.
