Beach fashion show kicks off Reef opening, TV Diner’s Jenny Johnson hosts summer opening party at the Aquarium’s café/pub June 17, 2010

In the quest to find a fun, new place to have drinks and dinner with friends in Boston, stop by The New England Aquarium on Thursday, June 17 for a summer beach party and free fashion show at The Reef, an outdoor café/pub that offers expansive views of Boston Harbor.

Surf’s up at 5:30 p.m. with free appetizers until 6:30 p.m., and cool drinks, giveaways, and live music all night long. Enter raffles to win beach bags full of swag, gift certificates and free tickets to the New England Aquarium.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. NECN personality and TV Diner executive producer Jenny Johnson will host a fashion show with looks from Faneuil Hall’s Sun Spot which sells bathing suits and a variety of beach gear. Get style cues from Boston’s hottest spot for summer fashion and learn how to look cool on and off the beach. Sustainable fashion is also on the agenda, with styling ideas for New England Aquarium Live Blue t-shirts and totes.

Located on the New England Aquarium plaza, just off Atlantic Avenue, The Reef is within easy walking distance from anywhere in downtown Boston. The Reef offers diners family-friendly fare and fabulous views of historic Boston Harbor. After 4 p.m., it transforms into one of the city’s coolest spots on hot summer nights.
