BBQ & Music Festival in Broadlands Virginia Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22.

The sounds of music will mingle with the smells of pit-roasted chickens at Chicken and Pickin', a two-day music-and-food extravaganza held outdoors (weather permitting) at Clyde's at Willow Creek Farm in Broadlands, VA, on Saturday, June 21st, and Sunday, June 22nd. Music of Sol Creech and Friends will set the soundtrack, while visitors picnic on barbecued birds, hot dogs, coleslaw, potato salad, cornbread, berry shortcake, watermelon and soda or beer (half chicken and choice of two sides).

Sol will be returning from a tour in France with Music Maker, and the Blue Mountain Music Festival in Virginia. On Sunday June 22, Sol will perform jazz, rock, blues, and more, along-side stand up bassist Greg Watkins (of the Washington DC group the Sketches & the Baltimore Symphony) and percussionist extraordinaire Ron Goad (voted several years for Most Supportive of Washington DC Music). Guest vocalist Emilie B will also be featured.

Chicken & Pickin Festival Guests are encouraged to tour the picturesque pond, the restored barns and the vegetable and herb gardens that grow produce for Clydes restaurant.

Other musical performers will range from bluegrass to folk, and blues to roots rock. The scheduled performance times are June 21, noon–10 PM; and June 22, noon–7 PM.
