*** The Enemy ***

Coventry three-piece The Enemy couldn’t have asked for a better start. Hailed by the NME as "the sound of British rock n’ roll", their debut album 'We’ll live and die in these towns' shot to the number 1 spot on the UK charts this year, with critics and fans claiming it a triumph of intelligent song writing and infectious hooks.

For these three young musicians, playing in a band beats the daily grind hands down. Tom, Andy and Liam echo that sentiment on their debut, with songs about the working class drudgery associated with an average nine-to-five existence. Their most recent single 'You’re Not Alone' is about the thousands of workers who lost their jobs when the Peugeot plant in their hometown closed right before Christmas 2006.

Having already played Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds Festivals and opened for The Rolling Stones at O2 Arena this year, The Enemy are sure to excite when they play Camden’s intimate Barfly.

*** Hadouken ***

Exponents of the mash-up genre of grindie, (a cross between grime and indie rock for the uninitiated) Leeds boys Hadouken combine energetic stage presence, heavy rock and synths in attempt to keep everyone guessing. Aspiring to remain fresh with each performance, Hadouken wowed crowds at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals, living up to their name which is a reference to a fireball attack from the video game 'Street Fighter'.

2007 has been a productive year for the five piece, having released the double A-side 'That Boy That Girl / Tuning In' and signing with the UK arm of Atlantic records to release their follow up single, 'Liquid Lives'.

Named as one of the NME's Breaking Bands, Hadouken are ready to rock the roof off Camden's Barfly as part of this year's BBC Electric Proms.
