Baskin-Robbins is excited to announce the opening of a new ice cream store at 152 Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale, Illinois. The shop is hosting a Grand Opening event on Thursday, December 11, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. to celebrate the new store. Franchisee Anita Shah will be presenting a $500 donation to the Stratford Middle School to show her commitment to the community at the event.
During the event, the Baskin-Robbins store will be offering ice cream treats and giveaways to customers, including 31 cent kid-sized ice cream scoops. Principal Tom Doyle will be accepting the donation at the event on the school’s behalf.

Location by Pennys? Will be hard to compete with the Coldstone Creamery located above food court and theatres where all the kids and families congregate. There is also an Edys stand located on the second floor in the center of the mall. Three ice cream stands in the same mall? I guess the mall walkers can now get a scoop wherever they please. What are they thinking???
