What will you do to help an endangered species? Would you be willing to BARE IT ALL for Polar Bears?

On December 13, 2009 high school, college and university students, moms, daughters, dads, brothers will join celebrity Swim Marshal George Smitherman on the beach to take the plunge for Polar Bears.

Most people don't know that destruction of the carbon-rich ecosystems in the Boreal accelerates climate change and increases the threat to Polar Bears. Our Polar Bear Swim 2009 will educate and gather support for the preservation of terrestrial carbon as a way to help Polar Bears.

The international climate change meeting in Copenhagen convenes in less than a week. This is the first time terrestrial carbon has been on the agenda. And we made it happen. Wildlands League and a handful of other groups have been working tirelessly to have the Boreal Forest and peatlands recognized as a massive carbon storehouse. By supporting this event you help attain key campaign goals. You help make history happen.
