Barcamp Mobile 2009 March 21, 2009

BarCamp is a collaborative conference, where experts, hobbyists and technological enthusiasts gather together for a weekend of general geekery. Topics in past conferences have ranged from penetration methods of SCADA systems, the methodology of setting up a website, all the way down to how to properly handle liquid nitrogen. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.

When you come, be prepared to share with BarCampers.
When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

We offer a talk for every interest level, because every interest level gives a presentation. What sets BarCamp apart from other conferences is that it expects participants to be leaders as well. Everyone who comes to this event offers a presentation, fostering a sense of community in the Southeastern tech scene.

We hope through this conference to:

•Create a nurturing environment for new technology enthusiasts

•Bring in world renowned experts to discuss technological hot topics, on a laymen's level

•Create an atmosphere conducive to attracting technological jobs and workers to Mobile

•Establish city-wide dialogue as to the place of technology in government and daily life

•Create a positive image of the Computer Sciences

BarCamp Mobile will be Saturday, March 21 at the University of South Alabama. Specific locations and times will be announced soon. There will also be a dinner and social event Friday night.
