Barbara Kruger is an acclaimed artist whose recognizable style combines images & text addressing cultural representations of power, identity, & sexuality & challenges stereotypes & clichés. Kruger has won many awards & has taught at the California Institute of the Arts, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, & the University of California, Berkeley. She is a professor in the UCLA Department of Art.

George Lakoff is Richard & Rhonda Goldman Professor of Cognitive Science & Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of many influential books on political discourse including Moral Politics: How Liberals & Conservatives Think; Women, Fire, & Dangerous Things: What Categories Reveal About The Mind; & most recently, Whose Freedom?: The Battle over America’s Most Important Idea.
