BOXING DAY, an irreverent and post racial take on the classic GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER, will have a special free screening at Columbia University.

On the day after Christmas, Emmy Towne brings her boyfriend, Darryl, home to meet her family. Having already struck out twice when introducing a new boyfriend to the rest of the Towne clan, Emmy is terrified Darryl will become casualty number three. For Emmy and Darryl’s relationship to escape intact, Darryl will have to survive Emmy’s know-it-all mother, Beverly, her sweet but clueless father, Martin, her deviant sister, Grace, and her miscreant brother, Rick. But her unseemly family aside, Emmy is truly worried about how the sheltered suburban crew will deal with the fact that Darryl is black.

BOXING DAY is a laugh-out-loud, brutally honest and sometimes uncomfortable look at breaking down barriers, not just between cultures, but between the people you love, or at least are supposed to.
