The Professional Culinary Institute (PCI), created by chefs for chefs offers a comprehensive baking and pastry arts program. Working with the award-winning French Culinary Institute in New York City brings a new energy to PCI’s Baking and Pastry Arts Program. Classes start Monday, October 4th from 7 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday or Monday, January 10, 2011 from 7 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday as well as three evenings a week from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

PCI’s small class sizes allow for individual attention, while the new, state-of-the-art facility provides hands-on learning opportunities. Each student has his or her own workstation in a state-of-the-art kitchen-classroom with access to a wide variety of professional equipment. Students can earn a diploma of Essential Professional Baking and Pastry Skills and join the workforce in as little as six months.

Baking and pastry creation is a unique blend of art and science that requires a special sort of chef. PCI’s Baking and Pastry Arts Program blends detailed, personal, hands-on instruction with professional chefs that teach the essentials of technique, quality ingredients, and finishing with flair.

PCI's Baking and Pastry Arts Program uses the European apprentice training system. All techniques are taught via their proprietary Artisense™ method of baking and pastry training: explanation, demonstration, and execution. Their world-class facility in Campbell, California was designed to support this method of culinary training.

Upon graduation, PCI provides job placement assistance and follow-up with a team solely dedicated to identifying job opportunities and forming relationships with employers. After graduating from PCI, you can count on their continued support and guidance for lifetime career assistance.
