The Action Design was formed in 2006 by former Tsunami Bomb members Emily Whitehurst and Matthew Mckenzie. After spending the first couple months writing, recording, and honing their sound, the line-up was completed by ex-tourmate/Pipedown member Jaycen Mckissick and Jake Krohn (ex-Calcutta Bazaar). The band recorded the first five songs they wrote which were only available through their website and quickly sold out of the first 1,000 pressed before they even played a show. In 2007 the Action Design teamed up with Popsmear Records to polish up the e.p. and re-release it under the name "Into A Sound" before heading out on the 2007 Warped Tour. The band has hit the ground running and already confirmed plans to round out the year with a full schedule of touring, writing and recording.
