About the Performers:

Jeanne T. Arrigo is a Chicago-based singer/songwriter producing folk-infused, soulful tunes with a style reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Jonatha Brooke. Her warm, dynamic vocal work highlights flexibility and range, while her infectious, percussive guitar work accompanies intense, introspective, lyrically-driven stories. Her debut CD (self-produced and released in August, '05) contains stories of life, love, laughter, and loss.

Illinois Entertainer says, "The strong emotions...ring true thanks to her classic folk singer vocals and deft touch with lyrics."

Music Connection Magazine says, "...startlingly straightforward, earnest and organic in her material, which is enlivened by a beautiful singing voice."

Aguafuego, the brainchild of JBeatz, is an evolving coming together of unique combinations of musicians to interpret her music. This songwriter/lyricist/singer /instrumentalist is dedicated to developing a new sound, rooted not only in her South American heritage (Peru-Ecuador), but also encompassing her background in classical, reggae, rock, jazz, world, hip hop, latin and folk music. With original songs in Spanish and in English, Aguafuego brings a global mix of sounds that create a soulful blend, a tapestry for the timely lyrics and alluring melodies of JBeatz.

“Beautiful, Exotic, Calming, Sensual, Intelligent, Artistic and Thought-provoking...need I say more?”
(Timi Television - Philadelphia)

"Guardians of the Land" shows off her flute playing as well as Aguafuego's knack for reggae/rock.

"Amanesco" and "Woman Stand Strong" might be my favorite tracks here as they both have great melodies line that will stick with you...and the latter has a nice piano line.
