Dramatic narration, achingly beautiful arias, riotous crowd scenes and transcendent chorales combine in this beloved pillar of Western music. With soloists Frederick Urrey (Evangelist), Kevin Deas (Christus), soprano Leslie Fagan, mezzo-soprano Barbara Rearick, tenor Matthew Garrett and baritone David Williams.
