Bach to Madness
program to include:

selections from

Bach Mass in b
Vivaldi Four Seasons
Biber Sonata Representativa
Schubert Shepherd on the Rock

This concert highlights the bizarre qualities that infuse the best inspiration of the baroque and classical eras of western music. The shape of the program is an imaginative flowing of some well-known works and some you have surely never heard of before (of which you’ll not want to forget!); the outline is essentially a kind of narrative from birth to death to rebirth – a story told through the evocative powers of music ‘misshaped’ by its powerful messages, but a pearl, none-the-less.

A large number of performers will be involved, with featured soloists including Maurita (Bunny) Phillips-Thornburgh soprano, Mark Menzies violin, and John Veloz bassoon.
