Winter is here and it's time to heat things up and dance and rock. Formed in June 2003, Madison Area Music Awards Winner Best Rock Artist (2005), Awesome Car Funmaker wrote a bunch of songs and then performed them at several shows. Their music can be described as spastic, relentless, loud, obnoxious, and fun. The live performance is exasperating yet rewarding. You can expect a lot of energy from these fellows as they have been known to cause mass audience flailing and paroxysms. Without a doubt, this band is one of Madison's best local performers. Warming things up will be The Box Social who according to aversion.com are "...the sort of act that everybody in the world should like, but only the really, really cool will. Without playing into the rank-and-file world of overproduced, plastic nonsense or too-real hipster idiocy, The Box Social gives us a dose of pure rock and roll fun. They're the sort of band that will tempt you to blow your car speakers or crank your home stereo loud enough to get the cops involved. Isn't that sense of pure abandon and unadulterated glee what got you listening to rock and roll in the first place?"
