"Headache City are one of the few bands in Chicago who are instantly fun and catchy ... their quirky synth-creamed pop r'n'r is undeniably great and beats the piss outta just about anything this city has to offer." -Terminal Boredom

Post Honeymoon’s roots go back to a summer night in 2001, when drummer Nick Kraska (Bang! Bang!, New Black) met keyboardist Rachel Shindelman (Bang! Bang!, New Black, The Dials) and brought her to a show at the Empty Bottle. It took them three years to start playing together and another three to get married, go on their first vacation and start their own outfit, the aptly named Post Honeymoon. Post Honeymoon strips bare and slows down the pop songs Kraska and Shindelman perfected while playing in other outfits. What’s left are the kind of songs you dream up when you think nobody else is listening. Think Siouxsie Sioux meets the Motels, meets Love & Rockets (without the guitars). Off to a quicker start than their personal lives together - they've already shared the stage with The Slits and Firewater, and are currently in the studio finishing their first LP.
