WHAT IS TROPFEST? Tropfest is a short film festival that began in Australia in 1993 and has become the world's largest short film festival. All Films are shorter than 7 minutes.
The evening will begin with a pre-show of live musical entertainment from bands HAUNT, SECOND DAN, and DJ SHORTY at 5:00pm and at 8:00pm will turn the World Financial Center Plaza into a movie theatre under the stars and premiere the 16 finalists.
Australian born actress Rose Byrne (Damages, Troy), actor/director Griffin Dunne (The Accidental Husband, Fierce People, After Hours) and Academy Award nominated director Bennett Miller (Capote) have been named as jury members for the 2007 Tropfest@Tribeca.
