August 7 Bachata Beginner Intensive Course-no Partner Required! August 7, 2007

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before classes commence to fill out registration information. Just check the board for "DANCIN EVOLUTION" when you arrive. The course is taught by both Cindy Osorio & Danny Ramirez. This program is based on a Beginner to Progressive 4 Week Class Cycle. This method has been proven to be one of the most effective method of learning how to dance correctly in a short period of time. There's no obligation to go on the full 4 Week Cycle or you can take the Series on a Pay-as-You-Go Basis.

WHEN: TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 14, 21, 28

DESCRIPTION: This class is designed for those who have never danced before or danced very little. This class starts from the basics and moves through the essential steps to help you survive out there to feel confident enough to dance socially at parties and clubs. Bachata has become a popular partner dance that is sexy, playful and surprisingly easy. You will learn the following: the basic step pattern, giving and receiving turns, proper body positioning and hands, footwork styling options, several turn combinations, hip isolations, music theory. BACHATA: In general, has reached a lot more popularity in recent years. More nightclubs are playing it, and therefore, more people are learning it. Since the basic step pattern is not as intricate as some styles, you're allowed to progress at a much faster pace. Bachata is a form of dance that originated in the countryside and rural marginal neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. Its subjects are usually romantic; especially prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness. The character of the dance is achieved through sensual hip and body movements making it truly sensual and romantic. Each week new steps and turns are taught and previous weeks' steps and turns are reviewed.
