Audition Notice for “Steel Magnolias” November 12, 2008

AUDITION NOTICE “STEEL MAGNOLIAS”

PHAMALY – The Physically Handicapped Actors & Musical Artists League, Inc. will hold auditions for its winter 2009 production of “Steel Magnolias” on Wednesday, November 12 beginning at 5:00pm. Callbacks are Thursday, November 13 from 5 - 8pm. Auditions and callbacks will be held at the Mizel Center for Arts & Culture 350 S. Dahlia St Denver 80246. The show will be presented at the Aurora Fox Arts Center January 10 – 31, 2009.

Needed are six physically, developmentally or emotionally challenged women of all ages. Actresses need to prepare one dramatic monologue up to one minute in length. Selections from “Steel Magnolias” are discouraged. Resume and headshot are requested. All roles are currently available and please note this is an all female cast. If you performed in PHAMALY’s productions of “Our Town” or “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” you do not need to audition but must sign up for the call back on November 13. If you have a new audition piece that you feel would enhance the role you are interested in performing, you are welcome to audition on November 12.
