Audie Blaylock & REDLINE Award-Winning Bluegrass January 18, 2013

Grammy Nominee for Bluegrass Album of the Year, Audie Blaylock (www.audieblaylock.com) is one of the hottest bluegrass artists today. Blaylock and his band Redline hit the Firehouse Arts Center on Friday, January 18 at 8:00 p.m. Opening the show are popular acoustic quartet Snap Jackson and the Knock On Wood Players (www.knockonwoodplayers.com).

This tour is a special one. The band usually tours with the four core players, but this show will feature the full 5-member Redline band on stage: Audie Blaylock on vocals and guitar, Patrick McAvinue on fiddle, Russ Carson on banjo, Reed Jones on bass, and special treat Jesse Brock on mandolin.

Hot off a string of #1 singles and sell-out live shows featuring cuts from their newest album 'Hard Country,' Blaylock and Redline will also be doing songs from their award-winning album 'I'm Going Back To Old Kentucky' (A Bill Monroe Celebration). Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine says, "The vocal work by Blaylock and others is topnotch, the instrumental support is right on the mark, and the Father of Bluegrass would no doubt find this release very much to his liking."

Opening the show with a bang is Snap Jackson and the Knock On Wood Players, the fresh, energetic acoustic quartet hailing from Stockton. Nominated for 2010 Northern California Banjo Player of the Year, Snap plays both Scruggs style and clawhammer banjo, as well as ukulele, mountain dulcimer, and harmonica. Joining Jackson are Shane Kalbach on fiddle, mandolin and guitar, Eric Antrim on guitar, and Brian Clark on string bass. "Snap's original songs have a liveliness that zips across the sound barrier, and if your feet aren't dancing after a song or two, you must be tied down," according to The Bluegrass Breakdown.

Known for their incredible musicianship, impeccable harmony, and highly entertaining stage shows, Blaylock and the full Redline band are a special treat not to be missed. Snap Jackson opens at 8:00pm.
