“As You Like It” will preview Friday, February 6 and opens on Saturday, February 7. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. with a Saturday Matinee on February 21 at 2 p.m. and one $10 Special Student Matinee Thursday, February 26 at 12 noon at The Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street, Denver, CO 80211. One of Shakespeare’s greatest romantic comedies, “As You Like It” celebrates love’s eternal powers. As Rosalind and Celia are forced to flee a contentious and threatening court, they are swept into a sometimes dangerous and sometimes playful, lusty, and enthralling journey of gender switches, mistaken identities, and the eventual triumph of justice and love among some of Shakespeare’s most beloved comic and prosaic characters.

Performed as you’ve never seen it before, with a dynamic minimal cast featuring Diana Dresser,* Gregory Adams, Jim Hunt, Jamie Ann Romero, Brian Shea and Jake Walker.
Producer/Director Gabriella Cavallero said of this production, “Our quest to stage a classic love story in a creative way that sparks the imagination led us to tackle one of our favorite Shakespearean comedies. William Shakespeare bids his audiences to use their imaginations to conjure great courts and magical forests, and believe men to be women on the simple “wooden O” that was the Elizabethan stage. In this story, which hinges on disguised identities leading to transformation, we take his request a bit further and challenge our small company of six actors to flex their chameleon muscles to play over twenty roles.”
