Artists at Laney Studios-East Bay Open Studios 2009 June 6, 2009

East Bay Open Studios is the East Bay's longest and largest open studio event. Approx. 500 artists participate in the East Bay with a group show at the Pro Arts Gallery, 550 2nd St. just off Jack London Square. Artists at Laney Studios, 21 in all,will be showing prints, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, photographs & jewelry both weekends from 11 am to 6pm in the Laney College Fine Arts Annex.

East Bay Open Studios Preview Exhibition opens to the public May 5 from Noon to 5pm at Pro Arts Gallery. Free illustrated catalogues will be available. Each artist will have an individual space in which to show an example of their work; bios and other information will also be available for each artist.

June 4 the Preview Gala opens from 6 to 8pm with live music and champagne (tickets-$30 and up), with a free reception from 8 to 10pm.

Artists at Laney Studios will be showing their diverse work in the Laney College Fine Arts Annex, 2 blocks from Lake Merritt BART Station, across the street from the Oakland Museum. Plenty of street parking is available.

Enjoy light refreshments while browsing through original, affordable, hand done art to bring you joy and brighten your life. Chat with the artists while you munch on a cookie and feast your eyes.
