Artist Reception at New Frontier's First Friday December 3, 2010

New Frontiers Natural Marketplace invites you to our “First
Friday” artist reception featuring the landscapes and still life
paintings of Flagstaff artist, Priya Drews, Friday, December 5
from 6-8:30pm

In June of 2009, Priya decided to rediscover the joy of painting.
A year and a half later, after dedicating every weekend to painting,
she has assembled a body of work that includes small jewel-colored
still lifes and atmospheric landscapes.

Priya says, “After painting on and off for many years, my life-long
desire to be an artist reawakened a couple of years ago. Painting
en plein air is a completely new experience for me. It has inspired
a deeper level of appreciation for our rugged and beautiful surroundings.
That, to my mind, is what being an artist is all about and that and seeing
things in an entirely new way.”

New Frontiers Natural Marketplace is happy to join Willowbend
Environmental Education Center in celebrating Flagstaff’s First
Friday Art Walk. Willowbend is featuring the work of 4 or 5
mystery artists.

Artwork displayed at New Frontiers will be displayed for a month
after the First Friday reception. The theme is “affordable”
art and features original works of art and photography for under
$250.

Music, entertainment and great food are all part of the Art Walk
experience. New Frontiers is offering tastes of their signature
Turkey Chili, at the December 3 artist reception. Make First Friday
Art Walk at Aspen Place a relaxing stop on your next Friday
night out. Join us for delicious food and a feast for your eyes.
