A rare shopping opportunity: Except for brief detours to Greenwich Village May 17-18 and Lincoln Center June 21-22, Creatures of Delight, soft and squishy toys, will be at the Artisan Market every Saturday in May and June. Created by T. Oliver Kopian using his patented "Rubber Plush", these toys made their first appearance in the front window of FAO Schwarz. They have been prototypes for "WaterBabies" by Playmates, graced Kellogg Rice Crispies boxes throughout Europe, and were adapted into TV cartoon characters in the 90's. Kopian is living in Long Island while his new studio is being completed in Sarasota, Florida. May 17 he will bring the Creatures to the juried craft section of Ye Olde Village Fair and May 18 they will be at Fine Art & Designer Crafts on Bleecker not far from Magnolia Bakery.

Free and open to the public.
