After a completely sold out anniversary show at the Red Poppy Art House, the ARTE Y TAPAS Performance Series is proud to host its first theatrical production featuring Kate Kilbane & the Cellar Doors at Inner Mission (formerly CELLspace) performing their original full rock opera "The Medea Cycle" Saturday March 16th!

Kate Kilbane's second original rock opera "Weightless" recently played four completely sold out shows and won "Best of Fringe" at the SF Fringe Festival 2012. SF Weekly called it "One of the best shows of the year" and the SF Chronicle called it, "an outright revelation!" Her first full length rock opera, "The Medea Cycle," is a twelve song rock opera that tells the story of the ancient Greek heroine, Medea. Medea's story is one of a woman who sacrifices everything--her creative powers, her family, and her home--for love. When that love dissolves, she has very little time to decide what she will do with her rage and her broken heart.

INCLUDED with admission ARTE Y TAPAS will feature complimentary arancini by Lovage Cooking, chef's signature risotto and cheese croquettes! Also featuring a Greek street food menu under $5 and drink specials by Inner Mission, a visual art exhibition including the sculpture installation "Gunflowers" by Luis Piek and artwork by Cameron Forsley, plus an opening performance by Master of Ceremonies Rafael Sarria of La Gente with Michelle Navarette, Sergio Lobito, special guest musicians and MC's!
