Art and Healing-Healthy for the Holidays January 2, 2011

Celebrating over seventy-four years of having public art in hospitals, the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation's Art Collection presents 'Art and Healing - Healthy for the Holidays,' an art exhibition at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden. The exhibit features thirty-six internationally renowned artists. Some of the artists featured in the exhibit are Andy Warhol, Wayne hiebaud, Alexander Calder, Romare Bearden, Jim Dine, Ilya Bolotowsky, Mary Frank, Richard Haas, Benny Andrews, Robert Motherwell, Ben Shahn, Yvonne Jacquette, Will Barnet, Juan Sanchez, Alex Katz, Hannah Wilke, David Hammons, James VanDerZee, Philip Guston, Rafael Tufino, Red Grooms, Jacob Lawrence, Georges Henri Rouault, Fairfield Porter, Robert Ryman, Lee Krasner, Dawoud Bey, Lia Chang, among others.
