Ferrotype (tintype) and ambrotype (positive on glass) artist and photographer, Phil Nesmith believes true life is found at the edges of our comfort zones, will demonstrate the wet plate process used in his exhibition series, Flow, photographs from the Gulf oil spill. Nesmith’s work combines historical and modern photographic process and elements. The equipment he uses spans over 140 years of photographic history from modern digital hardware to vintage 1800s optics and cameras.
