Around the World on Broadway Gourmet Food Crawl October 3, 2009

A family-friendly gourmet food crawl cross Sacramento's historic Broadway business district

Around the World On Broadway is a gourmet food crawl through a multitude of primarily independently owned Broadway restaurants and coffee houses to be held the afternoon of Oct. 3rd from noon to 5:00 pm. An anticipated 700 "crawlers" will participate in this "Fun-Raiser" to bring greater visibility to the Greater Broadway Partnership businesses and to benefit a local community partner, the Sacramento YMCA.

The event is presented by the Greater Broadway Partnership and sponsored by Capital Public Radio. Around the World on Broadway will conclude CPR's yearlong series about Broadway, emphasizing its diverse cuisine and culture, entitled Around the World in 30 Blocks.

Crawl Captains may register online at www.crawltix.com, recruit and lead a team of at least 10 people and earn their free ticket in the process. Several teams will start at each participating location in a "round-robin" format, rotating around the mapped route simultaneously. Each location will provide samples of food included in the $35 ticket price.

Each participant in Around the World on Broadway will be provided with a lanyard to identify him/herself as a paid participant. Businesses, community organizations and groups of friends and family are encouraged to organize teams for the event and show their team spirit and increase their visibility by wearing t-shirts or similar identifying clothing to broadcast their participation and support of the event.
