San Francisco, CA - Four virtuosic hands on one keyboard add brilliant dimensions to works of Barber, DvoYak, Ravel and more, performed by the virtuosic Arnaldo Cohen and the wonderful Nareh Arghamanyan Nov. 11 at the Herbst Theatre. (Arghamanyan replaces Mihaela Ursuleasa, originally scheduled for this program. Ursuleasa has cancelled her fall concert tour due to personal circumstances.)

From the dynamic Sonata in D Major that 16-year-old Mozart wrote for himself and his sister Nannerl to one of Schubert's final works, Fantasie in D minor, to selections from Barber's nostalgic Souvenirs, the program recalls classical, Romantic and Belle ￉poque through the gorgeous, layered sounds of duo piano.

Brazilian pianist Cohen opens up the heart of his repertoire with passionate, probing interpretations. He returns to SF Performances for the fourth time to present this unique recital alongside Armenian pianist Arghamanyan-who just had her San Francisco debut through SF Performances' 2010 Gift Concert. Both artists are acclaimed for their sensitive approaches to the repertoire, musical imaginations and rarefied technique.

Tickets are $60, $50 and $35. Visit sfperformances.org or call 415.392.2545 for more information.
