The Art Market, which began in April, 2004 at Welburn Square in Ballston, had a highly successful second season. The third season will begin in May, 2006 with some artists returning and some new ones. See the gallery below for samples of their work.
Handmade pottery, quilts, giftware, clothing and jewelry, as well as original art and photography are offered by over 20 area fine craftspeople, who were chosen by a panel of area craft professionals. The artists rotate throughout the season, so that each market offers different items. Music and special promotions will enhance the festival atmosphere.
The market is presented by the Arlington County Cultural Affairs Division and the Ballston-Virginia Square Partnership.
