Argentine Wines at the Embassy of Argentina April 12, 2007

The session will include a class on the main Argentine wine regions including Mendoza, San Juan, La Rioja, and Salta. We will speak about terroirs (soil, climate, etc) as well as wine making techniques and specificities. This will be followed by a formal tasting of 6 wines including Malbec, Bonarda and Torrontes, more international varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as Malbec- based blends.
Argentine appetizers and hors d’oeuvre will be served at the end of the tasting.
