Charles Innis, VMD, director of Animal Health at the New England Aquarium will recount his experience as part of a large scale sea turtle triage team to save the lives of endangered sea turtles affected by the Gulf oil spill.

Innis was one of the senior rescue and veterinary staff from the New England Aquarium among the first experts sent to field stations in the Gulf after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Innis will speak Oct. 4 at the New England Aquarium at 7 p.m. This is part of the New England Aquarium free lecture series that highlights the ongoing rescue, conservation and research work of the scientists and experts at the New England Aquarium.
