The Ants in Your Pants Dance Party continues at Savalas Friday, August 24. This time NewYorkNightTrain's soul proprietor Mr. Jonathan Toubin be joined behind the wheels by TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone, whose record collection is as eclectic and unusual as his music. We're on a mission to make you get down to the ground without employing the any typical contemporary dance musics - stringing together the choicest rhythmic selections from a rawer, weirder, and more diverse mix from across over half a century of playful dance music curiousities, obscurities, novelties, and hits (funk, post punk, garage rock, soul, no wave, new wave, noise, psyche, children's records, soundtracks, and much more). And, as any of you that came to see Mr. Svenonius spin last week are aware, the super sound system, perfect dance floor, and tastefully kinetic red lighting add up to an ideal environment to do so… Will you dance to anything?
