New York Night Train continues its Ants In Yr Pants Dance party at Savalas with special guest Jaiko Suzuki of Electroputas, Vanity Set, and Boredoms 77 Drum, Jaiko is one of New York's finest party-rocking DJs, best known for her fabulous monthly institution Mon Mon Amour at La Caverna (don't miss it this Thurs!) . She plays a vibrant cornucopia of choice international jams, weighing heavily on 1960s French and Japanese pop. You'll be unable to stop grooving long enough to wander up to the booth and find out what she's playing as she transforms this Williamsburg space into a classic discothèque non-parallel. NewYorkNightTrain's soul proprietor Mr. Jonathan Toubin will be throwing down the new eclectic dance format I've been he's been formulating there for the last few weeks – one that stretches to accommodate a seamlessly unlikely mix of beat-heavy movers by legends like Joe Tex, Quintron, The Cramps, Mongo Santamaria, The Headcoats, Sylvia, Bo Diddley, Jonzun Crew, Make-Up, Joe Cuba, Fun Boy Three, Six Finger Satellite, Burning Spear, Butthole Surfers, The Sonics, Willlie Bobo, Jesus Lizard, and Grandmaster Flash, and more covert stars like Ghost Exits, Jimmy Spicer, Lubricated Goat, The Squires, Joe Pop-O-Pies, The Midnighters, Lost Sounds, Black Blood, The Chubukos, and The Chakachas. Any of you who've dropped in on this soirée in the last few weeks know not only that it sounds amazing and features the festive ocean motion of a comfortably packed dance floor, but has been packed out with all of our best peops. Come dancing!
