Moraga's annual Spring Egg Hunt will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Moraga Commons Park located at corner of Moraga Road and St. Mary's Road. The event is co-sponsored by the Moraga Junior Women's Club and the Moraga Parks and Recreation Department.
Children, aged one to six, are guaranteed to find some treats and toys on the Commons' "Egg Hill." Everyone will especially be on the look out for the Golden Eggs, which will contain special treasures. Bring your camera for a picture opportunity with the friendly Bunny! In addition to the egg hunts, children can enjoy a toy walk, face painting, arts and crafts, jumpy house fun, and other games. The fun and games begin at 9:00 a.m. Festive baked goods, breakfast fare, and refreshments will also be sold at the event.
Two egg hunts will take place: one beginning at 10:00 a.m. and another at 11:00 a.m. The cost for the egg hunt is $5 per child and each participant should bring a basket for collecting the eggs. Adults are free. Wristbands for unlimited games will be sold Egg for $5 per child. Tickets for the egg hunts, which sell out each year, are available for purchase in advance at the Moraga Parks and Recreation Department, Hacienda de las Flores, 2100 Donald Drive, Moraga, CA, 94556, (925) 888-7045 and they are also available online at www.moragajuniors.org. Tickets will not be sold at the event.

The proceeds from the event will benefit two organizations:
*Moraga Parks and Recreation Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving Moraga's park facilities and enhancing recreational, cultural, and education opportunities in the town.
*Meals on Wheels by Senior Outreach Services, an organization that delivers meals to homebound seniors in the Lamorinda area and the rest of Contra Costa County.
