Annual Pachyderm Parade Celebrates the Arrival of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus to Washington, D.C. March 13, 2012

WHAT: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Fully ChargedSM is coming to the Washington, D.C. area for five weeks of supercharged surprises and megawatts of thrills. To kick off the show, the famous elephants and performers of Fully Charged will march on Capitol Hill to the Verizon Center.

In the spirit of this year’s Fully Charged show, Ringling Bros. is breaking tradition and lighting up downtown D.C. by holding its annual DC Pachyderm Parade AT NIGHT! Come see the lights and energy of the Fully Charged performers and clowns as they accompany the majestic Ringling Bros. elephants into DC.

The parade will begin on Virginia Ave, S.E. and New Jersey Ave. S.E. (Garfield Park) moving west towards South Capitol Street, S.E. then heading north up Washington and Independence Ave S.W. past the National Mall and continuing up 3rd Street N.W. arriving at the Verizon Center via G Street N.W.
